From the first point of contact (either by telephone or in person) you will be guided gently through the process of collecting your loved one and caring for them, advising and helping you to make the arrangements for the funeral service and supporting you on the day itself by people you will have come to know and trust.   

At Waters & Sons Funeral Directors, we believe that you should ultimately feel that you have given your loved one the very best tribute to them, honouring them and reflecting their life in a personal, respectful and dignified way, in either a non-religious, semi-religious or a full faith service...it is entirely your choice to make, and we will be there to help you through it.

Our Services Include:

A completely comprehensive funeral which is specially built by you with our support and guidance, ultimately created as a unique tribute to your loved one.

We can help you as much or as little as you need us to. We can do everything from specialised hearses, flowers and coffins or ashes caskets, to orders of service, newspaper notices and more… we can organise it all saving you from having to organise it all separately.

We have access some of the most beautiful, purposely designed, natural woodland burial grounds around the UK. We can give you the ability to choose an Eco-friendly coffin to meet your needs. Whether that means a traditional wood coffin, with no chemical lacquers and using only wooden handles, name plate and wreath holders (many include a natural/cotton coffin suite for your loved one to rest on) but we will also organise an Ecofriendly mode of transport on the day of the funeral and can help organise woodland flower seeds for you to plant afterwards. 

Our hearse only, direct to the crematorium package, including a simple dignified coffin but also includes the cremation and celebrant or minister’s fee to give you one clear cut price.

You can select and organise your personal floral tributes and orders of service using our recommended suppliers

Otherwise known as a direct cremation which includes a suitable coffin and the cremation fee. A truly simple, dignified service.

We will even organise the return or release of the ashes to you should you wish to have them, in a timely manner at no additional cost. 

Our Specialised Services Include:

The loss of a loved one no matter the age is a desperately difficult event to deal with but when a family loses a baby or a child, there are no words to describe the magnitude of the loss because hopes and dreams for the future are also lost. Call us…. we’ll look after both you, and your angel. We don’t charge any family our service fees for children up to their 18^th birthday and if you wanted additional services that may be chargeable, we’ll talk you through your options with honesty and openness.

Either of a loved one’s body at a time of need, or their Ashes and either into or out of the country, assisting with all the individual legalities that either you’re sending or receiving country need to have met for your loved one to be transferred.

Of a loved ones body -with a local designated site for burials at sea (off the Needles on the Isle of Wight) we work with Marine Management Organisation (MMO) to carry out a Burial at sea in a sustainable way using a specially designed coffin and helping organise a boat for the trip. Organising the licence to complete this and all the insurances can be a lengthy process, but we will look after your loved one for their entire stay with no additional charges.

The MMO favours the scattering of ashes at sea and although there are rules no paperwork is required. Want to find our more, give us a call.

Our dedicated staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at our funeral homes, and can meet with you either in the comfort of your own home or at our funeral homes.
